Blessings for the Year to Come: Jewish Magic Bowls
Learn about ancient Jewish artifacts, discuss your wishes for the new year, and make your own magic bowl.

The Jewish Aramaic incantation bowls are a collection of protective artifacts from Babylonian times, found in what is now Iraq and Iran.
In this kid-friendly educational event, we’ll learn about magic bowls and their context in Babylonian Jewish life, and then we’ll draw our own bowl designs with wishes for the new year. Each participants design will be printed onto melamine bowls that can be used for years to come. These bowls would make fantastic birthday or Hanukkah gifts.
Participants will be provided with a pizza lunch. "Jewish Magic Bowls" is geared toward kids and families, but everyone is welcome!
